Powering the watch is Omega's top-tier caliber 552 movement used in Seamasters from the era, and one of the last superior 500's series movements used before Omega began trying to reduce their costs. It has 24 jewels, seven more than in many similar movements.
It is one of the finest mass-produced automatic movements from era - arguably the finest.
It measures 34.5mm in diameter without the crown, just slightly larger than the size of a Rolex Date watch.
It is fully Omega and has just finished a true expertly done restoration. Its case presents as mint condition. The Omega dial has been meticulously custom refinished - the printing could pass as Omega factory done to the naked eye. Its movement is near pristine.
As part of the restoration the movement has been freshly overhauled by a Master Watchmaker. It continues to run strong and true keeping very accurate time on par with a new Omega in our testing position.
For the finishing touch a new calfskin leather strap has been installed making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
